I am Not Sure ….

where Mom is. She has been gone for many days. I’m not sure how many as I really can’t count, but I am sad and missing her very much.

Pat tells me that Mom has gone to visit her friend Marnie in Vancouver.

I know Marnie, as she came here to visit us a couple of summers ago. So I guess that it is OK that Mom is away and having a good time with Marnie.

Mom sent home some pictures of a Trinket box she made while at a crop this past Saturday with Marnie. It is her first Trinket Box and she learned a lot doing it. (add on: Mom asked me to let you know that she followed the directions for the Trinket Box on Kirsten's Blog, she made a slight change to the scoring of the drawer sleeve – she scored it at 1”, 3 1/2”, 4 1/2” and then 7”)

As well, it was her first 5 1/2 square card. She told us that she liked having the extra room to play in.

So here are the pictures she wanted to share:

Mom used the new Basic Gray Kioshi paper as her pattern paper and the card stock is from Bazzill. The drawer pulls are the covered brads from BG Kioshi. The ribbon was from her stash and the flowers were from the wedding section at Michaels.

Here is what the little drawers look like close up.

Here are the colors that Mom used:

Thanks for stopping by and checking out Mom’s latest work. I hear the next card may have a puppy on it. Can’t wait to see it!

I really like these trinket boxes! Did you make the box or did you buy it? If you make it is there a template online? You did a great job putting the colors together and your maggie is great!
